Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

Bolingbrook Area Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting ceremonies are incomparable in terms of support and marketing opportunities for our Chamber members. They are a deluxe affair that include the mayor, trustees, village department heads, chamber board members, chamber members, business supporters, family and friends.

Each ceremony includes a 20-minute interview by the mayor or a trustee, at the business location, during which the business gives more information about themselves and their business. The ceremony is recorded by Bolingbrook Community Television (BCT). The professionally edited video goes into rotation on Comcast Community Access Channel 6 and is uploaded to the Chamber’s You Tube channel. The business owner also receives a copy of the video for their digital use. The average attendance is 30 people.

The fee is $200.

Chamber staff acts as the scheduling liaison with the village office and provides coaching to the business owner. On the day of the ceremony, the staff brings the ribbon, the ceremonial scissors, takes photos and does a live social media broadcast during the actual cutting of the ribbon.

The business owner needs to provide enough light refreshments for 30 people and enough space to accommodate the attendees. Please expect to provide a guided tour of your facility.
